RSS Feeds

I've been on a slight learning curve this week. I got interested in RSS feeds and worked through making one for my "Almost Weekly Bible Study." So what is RSS one might ask? It can be understood as Really Simple Syndication carried along by a file written in XML (oops! too technical).

So anyone who follows my "Almost Weekly Bible Study," can become instantly aware of a new Bible Study being posted. All you have to do, I know, I know, you've heard that line before, is to download a RSS Reader, if you don't already have one and add the BibleJourney RSS feed into the reader and you will have an instant list of all the BibleJourney Bible Studies and the next time a new one is written your RSS reader will alert you that it has arrived. What could be simpler than that?

Of course, all of you here in blogland are most likely aware of such things already.

I have tried several RSS Readers and have settled, for right now at least, with RSSReader, which is free and as far as I can tell has no spyware attached to it. You can get a copy at here.

The RSS feed to my Bible Studies is http://www.sbl.org/rssfeeds/bjawbsgen.xml. Just "copy and paste" into your RSS reader. [Copy = CTRL C and Paste + CTRL V on a PC. You MAC folks most likely know how to do such on your computers or click on the XML Icon above in the text and copy the URL from the Address line of your browser.

So try it out and let me know what you think.
